去年，國際宣傳辦公室推出了書籤造型的酷卡，內含豐富的校園資訊，幫助新生迅速熟悉校園。今年，我們再次升級，推出了以「護照」為概念的全新酷卡。這張酷卡象徵著新生們即將踏上的人生新旅程，設計靈感來自諸葛錦囊，當新生在校園中遇到任何挑戰或需要幫助時，只需翻開酷卡，就能找到實用的資訊，快速解決問題。

NYCU Freshman Orientation: ‘Pioneering’ the Future
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) once again delivers an unforgettable experience for its incoming students at this year’s freshman orientation! Themed “Pioneering,” the event welcomes 2,060 new students, marking the start of a new chapter in their academic and personal growth. Led by esteemed faculty and distinguished alumni from various fields, these freshmen are embarking on an exciting journey aboard NYCU’s ship of knowledge, pursuing their dreams. In the future, they are expected to become trailblazers in their respective fields, leading society and the world toward a brighter future.
Exciting Activities and Exclusive Benefits Beyond the Ceremony
The orientation isn’t just about speeches—it’s a day filled with vibrant energy and excitement! Every activity is infused with a youthful spirit, from the lively student club fair to the electrifying concert. This year, the Office of International Promotion and Outreach (OIPO) has also introduced the “Trendsetter Hotspot” activity, offering freshmen a unique opportunity to explore the campus while participating in a fun-filled photo challenge.
Freshmen can visit popular photo spots across various campuses, pose with the university mascots, and upload the pictures to Instagram to claim a limited-edition photocard! This activity aims to spark curiosity and a sense of discovery about the campus while promoting greater interaction and engagement among students. Each campus features its own unique checkpoints, allowing freshmen to freely explore and uncover the charm of every corner. The “NYCU 1000 Days” exhibit at Chiaotung Campus Library showcases the university’s future direction, where students can interact with mascots and capture memorable moments.
Exclusive Freshman Cool Card: Your University ‘Passport’
Last year, the OIPO introduced a trendy bookmark-style cool card filled with useful campus information to help freshmen get oriented quickly. We’ve upgraded it with a new “Passport” concept this year. Symbolizing the start of a new journey in the students’ lives, this card is inspired by the ancient “Zhuge Liang Bag,” providing quick answers to any challenges or questions students may encounter on campus.
This cool card is a navigation tool for freshmen and a key to facing future challenges. It adds convenience and confidence to every student’s NYCU experience. From this moment on, as freshmen embark on the adventure ahead, NYCU will be by your side, witnessing your growth and transformation!
