NYCU Partners with VIS to Launch Digital Semiconductor Course: Advancing Educational Equity and Providing Quality Resources for Remote and Offshore High Schools

國立陽明交通大學與世界先進積體電路公司合作,為高中生設計「半導體原理與製造概論」數位學習課程,教材於113學年度推出即被44所高中採用作為多元選修課程教材,修課人數已破千人。陽明交大教師更於康芮颱風前夕,無畏風雨親自前往馬祖南竿,協助馬祖高中師生入門半導體課程,為偏鄉離島高中教學資源投入心力。

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) has joined forces with Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) to create the “Introduction to Semiconductor Principles and Manufacturing” digital learning course for high school students. The digital course helps bridge the gap in the educational resources between urban and rural areas, providing valuable teaching support for remote and offshore high schools. Launched in the 2024 academic year, the course has already been adopted by 44 high schools as part of their elective curricula, with enrollment surpassing 1,000 students.

NYCU Wins Eight Awards at the 2024 Future Tech Awards

國立陽明交通大學以 8 項創新應用在「2024 未來科技獎」獲得肯定。本屆未來科技獎吸引超過 500 支隊伍報名參賽,經過層層嚴格評選,最終僅 82 個頂尖技術獲得殊榮,陽明交大在「電子光電」、「生技新藥與醫材」及「人文科技」等領域的創新成果充分展現其優勢領域中的研發創新實力。

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) has once again showcased its exceptional research prowess at the 2024 Future Tech Awards, securing recognition for eight groundbreaking technologies. This prestigious event, which attracted over 500 participating teams, was narrowed down to only 82 top-tier technologies after a rigorous evaluation. NYCU’s innovative achievements in the fields of “Electronics and Optoelectronics,” “Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Devices,” and “Humanities and Technology” highlighted its intense research and development capabilities in its key areas of expertise.

在面臨全球原材料價格上漲、環保法規趨嚴、地緣政治衝突等挑戰,智慧製造與管理不僅代表著製造技術的升級,更是整體產業生態系的根本變革。作為陽明交大管理學院工業工程與管理學系的教授,我有幸見證並參與了這場產業變革的每一個重要階段。以下將分享本人在此領域中的一些經驗與觀察,特別是人工智慧(AI)、數位轉型以及淨零轉型在智慧製造中的應用與發展趨勢。

Amid rising global raw material prices, tightening environmental regulations, and geopolitical tensions, smart manufacturing and management represent more than a technological upgrade; they signify a fundamental transformation of the entire industrial ecosystem. As a Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) professor at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), I have witnessed and participated in every significant phase of this industrial shift. Here, I share insights and experiences in this field, particularly the roles of artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and net-zero initiatives in advancing smart manufacturing.
